Last weekend i had an engagement session booked in with a future bride and groom of mine. Ahead of the shoot i went and scouted various locations in Milton Keynes and found a few beautiful spots at Willen Lake . I wanted some variation for the session , long grass , woodlands and a little spot close to the lake for a special backdrop . As they were bringing the kids along – i also had to make sure it was accessible and a fairly easy walk for a buggy .

Happy with my location and a rough idea of where i wanted to get the shots , i was excited the morning of the shoot .

I love meeting new clients and hearing their love story , the engagement shoot is such a good way for us to become acquainted and get to know each-other. Aswel as a little practice ahead of your big day .

We kept the little ones in the buggy as we got stuck into the shoot , grabbing cute pics under the trees on a pretty wooded path .

But it wasnt long before we had to include their little girl , she was adorable . I love doing family style engagement sessions. When you book a full day of wedding photography with me – a free engagement session is included . Your welcome to bring anyone along, children , parents etc . Lets make a walk out of it , keep it natural and fun .

We got some stunning images in this long grass with beautiful purple wildflowers . It really made such a pretty setting , the lighting was perfect .

We then moved onto the last part of the shoot , in front of the lake.

My vibe for the shoot was a romantic picnic setting, i had a cute wicker picnic basket – which i filled with flowers . Purchased a bottle of bubbly and laid out a blanket . We had so much playing it out and the pictures speak for themselves !
